Opara Darlington is a Nigerian actor with a degree in Biochemistry, but his degree in science hasn’t stopped him from exploiting the Nollyhood.
He has proven that you don’t really need a degree in Theatre Arts to be a great actor.
In this interview with Anthony Amenaghawon, he says, “Self belief and hardwork pays in the movie industry
My name is Opara Darlington
I am a graduate of Biochemistry from Imo State University
How I started:
Well I started acting professionally in 2015 but before then I had been doing some little dramas in church programmes, my very first movie was Journey to Dreamland by Tissy Nnachi
The journey so far:
So far so good the journey has been amazing, God has been faithful cuz in this short period I have featured in over 16 movies
Like I said before, the journey has been good, and the success story has been very positive cuz I never imagined that I’d be where I am today in a very short time
I guess we all want to know where we’ll be in the next five years but I just wanna enjoy what’s happening right now.
Of course as an actor I do my best everyday to get closer to my dream, but I try to go with the flow and have as much fun as possible along the way. In the future I’d like to see myself as an accomplished actor
My advice for them is to first believe in themselves, cuz in this industry self belief is the ultimate, once you believe in yourself and work hard to improve, the sky will be your starting point.
