New face filters are now available on Instagram. Mark Zuckerberg who launched the snapchat-style face filters says he’s excited to have the feature run on photo-social media platform.
“New face filters on Instagram today! This one’s my favorite so far. These kinds of effects are how we’ll experience augmented reality for the first time,” he writes on his Facebook’s timeline.
According Verge, “Eight different filters will be available starting today, including a few different crowns, ones that make a person look like a koala or a rabbit, and another that sends math equations spinning around your head.”
Zuckerberg promised that more features would be rolled out in the days ahead to make the social media such a fantancy arena for its community, “This is just the beginning. ”
Instagram’s face filters will work whether you’re using the front or the back camera on your phone. You can find them by opening up the camera interface in the app and tapping the new icon in the bottom right corner.
Available for either downloading or updating on Google Play Store, the filters can be used in any of Instagram’s shooting modes — photo, video, or even Boomerang.
