What is N–power Backlog Payment?

In relation to finance, backlog payment means the process of paying outstanding salary of workers.
For instance, if 100,000 workers are in your payroll, and you were able to pay 80,000, that means it remains 20,000 people to be paid.
Before paying the following month, you might opt to first clear the unpaid ones in the previous month. The 20,000 constitute backlog.
In the case of npower monthly stipend, some volunteers hadn’t got any salary, while some of them got one or two months out of the five months paid so far.
It’d be recalled that the federal government promised that outstanding salaries would be paid. The outstanding ones constitute the backlog payment, and they’re currently being paid.
However, there were some cases whereby volunteers had errors in their npvn portal due to omission , unmatched records, errors in bvn, marital status, such volunteers were directed to make the necessary correction and send complaint e-mail to npower dedicated support channels.
As such, they also constitute backlog, and they’re being paid as well.
If you’re yet to be paid and you’ve made the necessary correction, it’ll get to you.

1)Resolving N-power Backlog Payment Problem via support email
To solve the problem of non-payment through direct e-mail, follow the format below:
- Title:Non-Payment or Backlog Stipends (You may state the months you’ve not paid, or leave it as Non-payment if you’re yet to be paid since commencement of the programme which officially took off December, 2017).
- Full Names (First name, middle name, and last name)
- Account details: (this includes your account name, account number, and bank name)
- Bank Verification Number (BVN):
- Place of Primary Assignment (PPA):
- Phone Number:(make sure it is the same phone number you used during application process)
And send to: email@example.com
State the specific month you’ve not been paid if you’ve got one or two, but let it non-payment if you’ve not got any.
Then ensure to scan any of your Valid Identity Card: Voter’s Card, National ID, International passport, BVN plate (Card).
Your Account Details with BVN printed from the bank.
If you’re married, and you’ve changed your name, make sure you scan evidence of change of name.
Don’t crowd your message with unnecessary words. Go straight to your point and make your message simple, brief, concise as much as possible.
2) Resolving N-power backlog payment problem by sending a complaint to N-power team within NPVN portal
Another method to resolve your N-power backlog payment problem is by accessing your NPVN portal to report an issue.
How to resolve N-power backlog payment problem on your NPVN Portal
TN-power is evolving everyday, that’s why the newly designed N-power portal (NPVN) has everything you may want to accomplish NOW.
From within your NPVN portal, you can easily submit complaint for issue of non payment of backlogs.
Follow the guide below to effect N–power backlog payment:
As usual, login to your NPVN dashboard using your phone number and your password
Click the option by your left hand side if you’re using a Samsung Pad, Techno Droid, iPhone, or any other Android devices.
The entire options will be displayed for you if you’re using laptop or desktop computer.
For the purpose of this guide, we are using Tablet device. And we urge you to use one of the advanced browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Explorer, UC Browser.
From the drop down you’ll see I) announcement, ii) Help and Support, and click Help&Support
It’ll upload “Report an Issue” click on it.
Click on complain type, from the drop down menu you’ll see options like: payment, profile, verification, deployment, redeployment, device selection, and resignation.
Choose the appropriate title. Let your title be captivating for it to elicit click from N-power support team.
Sample of some title you can use for N-power backlog payment problem:
- A) 5 months backlog
B) January-April, 2018 Unpaid
C) July to November 2017 Unpaid
D) Five months Backlog Issue
In the message box, clearly state your name again, and point out the last time you’ve been paid, the months you’re not paid.
When you send a complaint from within your NPVN Dashboard, it’ll contain your full data, as in everything about you.
So simply state your issue and..Then hit SUBMIT.
1) N-power has no time reading long complaint. Be concise and precise as much as possible. Go straight to your point.
2) N-power has the final decision on this issue. And knows the reasons why your backlog is on hold. Note that date of verification MAY affect your payment.
For instance, those who did verification January or February 2017 have been told not to expect December 2016 monthly stipend.
Special message to N-power 2017 Batch
For you to get paid, you must provide a correct bank account details and BVN are correct and linked, you will get paid
Visit your bank and link your BVN to your account number, make sure the details are the same as you have in N-Power platform.
Your payment could be hold by your employer or focal person due to a default of their rules and/or laws. Report to your PPA everyday if you have been deployed.
Payments that were not made to volunteers successfully due to bank issues on/after their verification date shall be paid to them as backlogs.
But make sure to onboard yourself now before deployment and commencement of payment
