#NpowerNG 2017 posting letters (2017 Batch) N-power issues warning to states

N-power has officially warned states to stop issuing posting letters to its 2017 pre-selected volunteers in order to avoid confusion.

It says until the final selection list is released, no states have the power to issue posting letters unless such states have the financial strength to pay them.

N-power said this on its social medial accounts today Sunday, January 14, 2018, to clarify on when N-power 2017 final compilation list would be released.

The statement reads:

“Good afternoon

It has come to our attention that some states have been awarding posting letters to N-Power pre-selected applicants.

At this point, there are ONLY Pre-Selected applicants, we shall announce and release the names of the FINAL SELECTED BENEFICIARIES when we have finished reviewing the returns of the Physical Verification compilations.

States can ONLY deploy Final Selected Beneficiaries.

We will assume that States who are currently deploying PRE-SELECTED APPLICANTS are expanding their charity base as we currently have NO ENGAGEMENT with these pre-selected applicants until we have announced and communicated same.

We are currently reviewing the returns of the Physical Verification compilations and we shall communicate progress and next steps on our Social Media Channels.”

Infobase Take:

Pre-selection doesn’t mean selection, and N-power made this very clear before and after the pre-selection exercise stage late last year.

We believe that it’s possible for someone to make the pre-selection list and at the long run failed the 2017 final selection of N-power, if he failed some criteria.

States should wait for the final compilation of list from N-power headquarters in Abuja before they start issuing posting letter to pre-selected volunteers so as to avoid confusion.
