The owners of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) have sacked the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. A.S Gbadegesin, and directed all other principal officers of the to proceed on immediate leave.
Others affected by this latest decision include the Registrar Mr. J. A. Agboola; Bursar, Prince A.B.C. Olagunju; and the institution’s Liberian, Mr. I.O. Ajala.
An insider source told Infobase that the University Management staff were asked to proceed on immediate leave because they were indicted by the KPMG Reports and for their failure to curb the incessant strike by the labour unions in the institution.
It would be recalled that Prof. A.S. Gbadegesin was appointed by the owner states Oyo and Osun in 2011 after the sack of Prof Olarenwaju Nassar, who was appointed by the former governor of Oyo Mr. Adebayo Alao-Akala.
Prof. Adeyemi is the new Acting VC
Meanwhile, Prof Isaac Adeyemi from the Department of Food Science and Engineering has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of LAUTECH in acting capacity.
Other appointees are: Ven. Olusegun Ojo as the acting registrar; Mrs Oyewunmi becomes the new acting Librarian while Mr Agbolade will act as the Bursar.
