Osun OYES Final List Update:
Osun State Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has approved the recruitment of another batch of cadets for the year 2018-202.
The news was announced on the official twitter handle of the OYES @OYESHQ on Tuesday.
The recruitment portal started accepting fresh application on Wednesday 8th August, 2018.
The 2018 recruitment will see another batch of 20,000 unemployed youths enlisted into the scheme.
It began in 2011, opening doors of opportunities for cadets as they have recorded successes in all sectors of the economy.
Components of the programme include:
- Traffic Marshals,
- Green Marshals,
- Public sanitation,
- Public Works Brigade,
- Green Gang,
- Osun Sheriff Corps,
- Osun Paramedics,
- Sanitation Czars and Teachers Corps and are thereafter deployed to productive services in these identified areas of our socio-economic life.
Other states in Nigeria have borrowed the creativity and the model of the programme to empower their youths.
It is also believed that N-power, Nigeria’s government youth empowerment programme, was designed using the OYES template.

It is an initiative of Governor Rauf Aregbesola to address the issue of unemployment in the state, however it is a 2-year temporary job.
It was widely accepted by residents of the state since no such initiative had been thought since the creation of the state in 1991.
OYES vs N-power
Federal Government took the scheme template in 2015 to design its own N-power job programme currently engaging more than 200,000 Nigerian youths both in Npower graduate programme and non-graduate programme, while another 300,000 names are to be released soon.
