For two hours the #OsunDebate lasted Sunday, September 16, the governorship candidate of Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Ademola Adeleke failed to honour the privilege to partake in the debate.

Ademola Adeleke is one of the five governorship candidates in the September 22 governorship election in the state.

No reason was given for his absence.

The debate was organised by Channels Television for contenders.

Candidates of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Iyiola Omisore; African Democratic Congress (ADC), Fatai Akinbade, and Action Democratic Party (ADP), Moshood Adeoti kicked started the political debate before APC candidate Gboyega Oyetola joined a few minutes late.

Oyetola joined after after the national anthem had been recited and the three candidates have introduced themselves.

Senator Ademola Adeleke has been having issues with his party men, while Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, EFCC, was accused of his freezing his account.
