November 26, 2018: N-Power creates twitter handle for Impact Series
A twitter handle @ThisIsNPowerNG has been created specifically for the coordination of the 2018 N-Power Impact Series Competition
NPower has reminded the beneficiaries of the job initiative programme that they stand a chance of winning the sum of one million Naira, through the Impact Series Competition.
“Have you shared your impact story for the N-Power Impact Series Competition? Do you know you can win 1 Million Naira by sharing a one-minute impact video using the hashtags #ThisIsNPower and #MyImpactThroughNPower”
If you haven’t shared your impact story, please do so by following the rules for you to win the grand price in your state.
November 23, 2018: Work and Pay for 2016 Beneficiaries Continue
The 2016 beneficiaries of the government’s job initiative programme have been urged to continue to go to their places of primary assignment.
In a latest tweet by N-Power team, the volunteers were advised to disregard any rumour that their tenure has come to an end as beneficiaries.
Thew message read:
“Mr. Afolabi Imoukhuede conveyed the decision of the Federal Government to proceed with an Enhancement programme for 2016 beneficiaries.
Before the enhancement details are made public, the 2016 beneficiaries will continue to earn while they work.
So kindly disregard the fake news that work stops fro 2016 beneficiaries at the end of November.”

November 22, 2018 N-Power News: N-Power is a driven by technology to boost education, Osinbajo says
The N-Power employment and training scheme of the federal government is a veritable technology to boost education, Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo said at the University of Ibadan.
He was representing President Muhammadu Buhari as the Visitor to the institution, on the occasion of the University’s 2018 Convocation and 70th Foundation Day Ceremony.
He submitted that the N-Power scheme, being technology-driven, offers a technology platform to train teachers quickly and efficiently, aside from the traditional training institutes.
In our one of our post on N-Power device we told you that each of the devices apart from professional-related videos N-Power iPad contains more than 80 self-development videos to make you self sufficient.
“N-Power, our employment and skills training programme, now employs 500,000 young men and women who were hired using a technology platform developed by young Nigerians.
“We have had the collaboration of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the Oracle Academy, Microsoft, Cisco Academy and IBM.
How do we train teachers quickly and efficiently, aside from traditional teacher training institutes which must be refitted to deal with new technology-driven pedagogy?
He said the need to move with the technology driven age is very important for the teaching profession to catch up with the trend.
N-Power Programme currently have 500, 000 beneficiaries in its graduate category. The first batch consisting of 200, 000 were given N-Power iPads made by eight different phone manufacturers to assisting them in their places of primary assignments.

A touching story of N-Power beneficiary in the North
A few days ago we saw a video of one of the N-Power beneficiaries in the North East part of Nigeria.
Habiba Ali, who is N-Power Teacher at one of the IDP camps in the North narrated how life was before the opportunity of N-Power came.
Speaking in Hausa, she said:
“I don’t have a mother
I don’t have a father
But I have the benefits of N-Power
NPower has helped me to grow God bless whoever initiated the programme, she said.

What N-Power beneficiaries would love to engage in after the programme
In a social media poll conducted on Twitter on October 9, 2018 by the N-Power Team for volunteers of N-Teach, N-Agro, N-Health, N-Tax, they were asked:
“With all that you have learnt from N-Power, where would you best prefer to apply the knowledge gained?”
The options were:
- Private sector employment
- Be a freelancer
- Don’t know right now

When the poll closed, N-Power beneficiaries submitted that they would prefer to go into entrepreneurship.

The first message on November 21 was on N-Power Impact Series Competition launched early this month calling on the beneficiaries not to forget to post their videos on their social media platforms using the two hashtags:
“We have seen so many amazing stories. Remember each state will have 3 winners with different prizes. Ensure you follow the rules,” N-Power Team says.
