Governor Nyesom Wike has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of hating Rivers State, saying his hatred for the state is reflected on the fact that he could not boast of any meaningful thing he has done for the state since he assumed office May 29, 2015.
He accused the President of violating the rule of law, saying, “How can you support a President who does not respect the rule of law”.
He spoke at Eleme PDP rally.
Wike urged the people to support the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar if they want their plights to be heard.
Wike mocked APC exclusion from INEC list
The governor also mocked APC candidates, few hours the Independent National Electoral Commission released the list of contestants in the forthcoming general elections.
INEC had released list of all aspirants from all political parties on Thursday and was discovered that APC aspirants in Rivers are not on the list following the controversy surrounding the party’s primaries in the state.
The governor at a PDP rally on Thursday threw banters at the APC candidates while boasting about how PDP candidates in the Rivers will run and win the elections in the state unopposed.
The rally which held in Eleme, Wike also told his supporters not to vote for the APC presidential candidate President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said, “There is no difference between now and when he was Head of State” as a military man. Buhari first ruled Nigeria as a soldier between December 1983 to August 1985.
According to him, things were better when Buhari was a military head of state than being democratically elected president.
