Kayode Ajulo was born in Ibadan, Nigeria, attended Aquinas College, Akure and thereafter studied law at University of Jos, (Nigeria) (LL.B. (Hons) 1999)
In 2001, he was call to the Nigeria Bar, having attended the Nigerian Law School (1999-2000), He also obtained his Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in 2006. He is presently a candidate of Doctor of Philosophy [Ph. D.] in Law on Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Justice.
He is a member of the Avant Garde International, International Association of Human Right Lawyers,Red Cross, the Nigerian Institute of Management, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and International Bar Association (IBA),
He cut his teeth as a Federal Attorney/Legal Officer with the Chambers of the Attorney General of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Justice, Nigeria (2001-2002), an Associate with the litigation inclined firm of Chief Afe Babalola SAN & Co. (2002) Also worked thereafter as Head of Chambers of Tunji Abayomi & Co. Abuja. (2003-2005) before the age of 30.
In 2006, he founded Kayode Ajulo & Co. Castle of Law an international law firm with interest in Litigation, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Oil and Gas, Capital Markets and Company Secretarial Services, Real Estates, Maritime and Aviation Telecommunication and Information Technology and Human Rights.
He is one of Nigeria’s foremost and celebrated lawyers despite his youthfulness and humble age at the Bar as he has prosecuted several number of complex cases and has wide-base clients.
He has acted as an arbitrator and counsel for several notable clients and appointed as counsel severally by the Federal Government of Nigeria in several disputes in Nigeria and abroad.
Acted as Counsel coordinating all litigation pertaining to defence of Nigerian Police Force and Ministry of Police Affairs in Nigerian, worked with the Federal Government of Nigeria team of Solicitors responsible for advisory, documentation, perfection of title and litigation in respect of the largest and most successful petroleum revenue development in Nigeria.
Designed a process that radically restructured the Ondo State Ministry of Justice by cutting out much of the bureaucratic red-tape.
Negotiated and drafted a multi-million dollar Joint Venture Agreement and Production Sharing Contract for prospecting and production of solid minerals.
Currently advising clients on all the legal and regulatory issues that would impact on a proposed multi-million Dollars mass housing project.
Kayode Ajulo has also acted as a Receiver/Manager to several distressed Companies, many of which he successfully turned around.
Articulate in communicating complex ideas to others having taught law related courses at Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo, (Abuja campus). He has been in very active advocacy campaign for global good governance and democracy.
He is the Founder/Chairman of the Board of Egalitarian Mission, Africa, a Non-Governmental Organization that is maintaining and promoting the belief that all people are, in principle, equal and should enjoy equal social, political, and economic rights and opportunities.
He also coordinates the activities of Free-A-Prisoner-A-Day (FAPAD) an initiative of Egalitarian Mission, Africa that ensure that at least a prisoner/detainee is released each day.
Kayode Ajulo solely finances the activities of Egalitarian Mission, Africa and FAPAD Initiaties with 15% of the profit less tax of his lawfirm, KAYODE AJULO & CO. CASTLE OF LAW thereby insulating the projects from external contributions and influences.
He has won several international and local awards for his contributions to social justice and human rights.
He is the holder of a prestigious honorary Chieftaincy title; BAMOFINLEWE of Akurekingdom, in Akure, the Ondo State’s capital, Nigeria. He has also been so honoured by other communities across Nigeria.
In 2011 general election in Nigeria, Kayode Ajulo. Was the Labour Party FCT (Abuja) Senatorial Candidate where he call for change of attitude and style to ensure a vibrant and dynamic SENATE of Federal Republic of Nigeria, insisting that the SENATE has become docile and turning to old/pensioners home.
Declared “The Most Enterprising Young Lawyer in Nigeria- 2009 by National Waves Magazine and Legal Personality of The Year-2009 by [Press Gallery] among other numerous awards.
His hobbies include debating, writing poetry, painting, music, and amateur photography.
