UPDATE: Beneficiaries of the N-Power programme have started receiving their May salary.
At the time of this report, 2016 and 2017 beneficiaries of the programme told InfomediaNG that they have started receiving their May 2019 stipend.
Some of those who have confirmed receipt of their May salary include N-Power 2017 batch and a few 2016 batch.
Those who use Access Bank have received, those who use Union bank have also confirmed to InfomediaNG that they’ve received the alert.
But in a tweet, N-Power promised that May stipend will be paid considering the fact that some of the volunteers are Muslims who will be celebrating Eid Fitr.
Recalled that on May 31, the Federal Government declared Tuesday, June 4 and Wednesday, June 5, as public holidays to mark the Muslim Eid-Fitri Celebration.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs Georgina Ehuriah, had made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement signed by Mr Mohammed Manga, Director Press & Public Relations, of the ministry, on Friday in Abuja.
Ehuriah congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and enjoined all Nigerians to use the occasion of the celebration to pray for the peace, unity, prosperity and stability of the nation.

She wished all Nigerians a happy, peaceful and rewarding Eid-Fitri celebration.
But the unpaid May N-Power stipend may cause a dull celebration for the muslim faithfuls who are beneficiaries if the salary isn’t paid before May 4.
The Federal Government’s N-Power scheme currently engages no fewer than 500,000 youth graduates deployed to provide public health services in teaching, health, agriculture and tax and monitoring.
It also engages another 200,000 non-graduates in training or on attachment to organisations as interns.
