3 Effective Ways to Exit N-Power Programme

  1. By clicking the resign button within your NPVN Portal
  2. By sending resignation e-mail to suppprt@npvn.desk-mail.com
  3. Existing by writing a formal letter through your state focal person

METHOD 1: Quit N-Power Programme through NPVN Portal

This is the simplest method of resigning from the job initiative programme which makes it easy for you to exit the programme without having to send a letter to your state focal person, or through anyone.

According to N-power Support team:

“On your dashboard, many of you will have observed the “Resign from Program” button, it simply means that should you desire to resign from the programme, you can click on the button and follow the steps.”

Follow these steps to quit N-Power

  • Step 1: Login to your NPVN portal through http://npvn.npower.gov.ng/login
  • Step 2: Click your name by the top right-hand side of the browser
  • Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on “resign from N-Power programme” and confirm that you want to exit the programme.

That’s all, the control centre will get the notice at the headquarters.

METHOD 2: By sending a resignation letter to N-Power Official Email Address

If you’re emailing your resignation letter, your subject line should be clearly stated E.g

  • “N-power Resignation Letter”
  • “Ajebulu resigning from N-power job” etc
  • The body of the letter should be the same as we have above

Dear Mr./Ms. (Vocal person name if you know it),

Please accept this letter as formal notification of my resignation from the N-power job initiative programme of this administration. My last day of work will be February 20, 20XX.

My detail is below to assist to facilitate removal of my name from your payroll:

METHOD 3: Existing by writing a formal letter through your state focal person

You can achieve this by sending your resignation to your state focal person, through the head of your PPA

When resigning from N-Power position, it’s advisable to send a formal resignation letter to inform head of your PPA, N-power headquarters through your state coordinator.

Your letter gives them the official notice that you are leaving N-power job.

Aside that, writing a resignation also serves as evidence that you have complied with your employer’s notice requirement.

What to Include when you’re resigning from N-Power Programme

It’s not a  MUST to include the reason for your resignation, you can keep your letter simple and straight to the point.

You’re not under any obligation to disclose your new working place. What N-power wants to see is that you’re quitting.

“You only need to include the fact of your resignation, your last day of work, and your best wishes for a smooth transition,” thebalance.com says.

However, you can mention some of the good experiences and career development support you had during your employment and to thank the Federal Government for the N-power initiative.

“Such an expression of gratitude may help to ensure that your employer will be willing to serve as a professional reference for you in the future should the need arise.”

Here is a formal resignation letter sample to use when you are writing regarding your intention to terminate your employment.

I would like to inform you that I am resigning from N-power programme as a volunteer at …..(your PPA) effective February 5, 20XX.

Thank you for the support and training that you have provided me since December 2016, when the programme officially took off.

“The state focal person will scan your letter and send it to selection@npower.gov.ng ; N-power headquarters, Abuja, will acknowledge and discontinue you from the Programme,” according to N-power.
