A Senior Nursing Officer at one of the Federal Teaching Hospitals has said that the regime of former Nigeria’s President Dr Goodluck Jonathan is better than the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in terms of timely payment of salary.
Buhari of All Progressive Congress (APC) defeated Jonathan of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in 2015 elections, to end the 16-year rule of PDP.
The Nursing officer who doesn’t want to be named told InfomendiaNG that members of staff at the hospital were receiving their monthly salary 25th of every month during Jonathan’s regime.
“25 of every month used to be the payday during Jonathan’s regime. But it’s either 35th day or more during this regime,” she said.
Also, beneficiaries of N-Power Programme, a job initiative of the APC-led government were yet to be paid. They receive their monthly salary directly from the Federal Government.
Some of them claimed the delay in their monthly stipend began immediately Buhari was declared the winner of the February 2019 presidential poll. He is in his second term.
Recall that the president on Saturday, November 2, 2019, embarked on a private visit to London, United Kingdom (UK).
He is expected to spend two weeks in London, a statement by Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesperson said.
