He was quoted by aljazeera.com as saying, “This virus has pandemic potential.”

Experts also confirms that the virus can cause pneumonia, meaning those who have fallen ill are reported to suffer coughs, fever and breathing difficulties.

  • Ensure to avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Try as much as possible to avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • When you discover symptoms, stay at home and call NCDC for action.
  • Make sure to cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and flush the tissue.
  • Stay clean and disinfect regularly
  • Follow NCDC’s recommendations for using a facemask.
  • Please wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

In case there is the unavailability of soap, please use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
