Nigerians were still reacting to the office of Accountant General of the Federation which was gutted by fire Wednesday, April 8, 2020, in Abuja.
According to report the Treasury House at the FCT was on fire at the early hours of Wednesday, before firefighter arrived the scene to put the fine out.

It was gathered that the fire started at about 10:25am from the office of the Assistant Director, Capital, located on the fourth floor of the 5-storey building.
I'm waiting patiently to hear that the Billions donated to fight the Coronavirus outbreak got burnt alongside the Treasury House.

The cause of the fire is unknown at the time of this report, but Nigerians are reacting why the fire outbreak had to be at a time billions of naira was donated to fight the deadly coronavirus, which had claimed several lives globally.
Fire has destroyed Vital documents at the Treasury House which houses the office of the Accountant General of Nigeria. The fire started at about 10am.
Since snake and monkey couldn’t go in there to destroy or swallow the documents, they sent fire. May God help Nigeria!

Some of them who reacted on social media including Burna Boy and PDP said Nigeria is a joke, while some of them claimed that “the fire is a sign that another billion of naira would be embezzled by government officials”.
One of those who reacted to the fire outbreak at the office of the accountant general of the federation is Mr OlufemiAdeniyi who said, “Investigation, investigation, investigation. Please let there be transparent forensic investigations into the remote and immediate causes of the fire.

To him, “Fire service should also be investigated for their response and activities to put out the fire.”
Fire outbreak is a common phenomenon in Nigeria so as to avoid prove of how public funds were spent.
