Report from the ancient town of Ile-Ife has confirmed that one of the popular markets in the town known as Oja Tutun, Osun State, has been gutted by fire.
It is not the first time the market would be razed by fire, a similar incidence happened in 2019.
It was gathered that valuable goods worth several millions of naira were destroyed Thursday, April 9, 2020
What caused Oja-Tuntun fire incident?
At the time of this report, the cause of the fire disaster was unknown, however, InfomediaNG gathered that the inferno started at the Omoworare Shopping complex where children’s playing toys and others were being sold.

There was no casualty because the market was under lock and key following the COVID-19 lockdown stay at home order announced by Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
Was it the first time Oja-Tuntun would be razed by fire?
It wasn’t the first time, in July 8, 2019, what could be described as a mysterious fire razed the largest market in Ile-Ife.
Back then the inferno started from a shop and spread to other parts of the market before it was eventually extinguished.
At the time of this report, firefighters had been invited to put it out just as fire Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, was also gutted by fire a few hours after the Ile-Ile incident.
