FACT CHECK: Has FG Released N-Power Batch C Final List?

On Thursday, September 3, 2020, some online platforms reported that the Federal Government has released N-Power Batch C final list.

Without wasting your time, the report is FAKE. N-Power was yet to release the batch c final list at the time of this report.

But one begins to wonder what necessitated the fake news.

It’s simple…

We earlier reported that the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq met with NSIP state focal persons in Abuja.

At the meeting, the minister and the focal persons across the 36 states including FCT discussed on ways to ensure that the batch A and B beneficiaries do not go back to the street, alternative ways on how to engage the over 500, 000 exited volunteers were discussed.

Speculators only jumped on the interactive session and came up with the report that FG has released N-Power batch c final list.

It’s totally false. It’s speculation!

When would FG release the names of shortlisted candidates for the batch C?

At the time of this report, the ministry of humanitarian affairs only disclosed that efforts were in place to ensure qualified applicants are shortlisted.

Recall, the recruitment commenced on Friday, June 26, 2020, and closed on August 8, 2020. Over five million Nigerians applied for the batch C. only 400, 000 would make the final list.

“In a bid to extend the opportunity to all Nigerians and ensure it is truly inclusive. The portal will close at midnight on August 8th, 2020,” she had said.

She spoke about the selection process of Batch C applicants:

“I assure all the applicants and Nigerians that the selection process will be transparent”.

Lately, we’ve also seen lots of applicants from the Northern part of Nigeria using the search string, “The list of successful npower teach Batch C 2020 in Bauchi State”
The list can’t be done in isolation. The list will be released at the same time for applicants throughout the country. We urge you to always check your inbox.

At this time, the shortlisted candidates for the N-Power Batch C have not been released, you’d be the first to know on this platform and on the official website of FMHDS when the finalist is out.
