Do you know that the date of everything you’ve shared on your timeline, page, and comments on Facebook is stored on the database of the social media giant? But it gives you the privilege to download it or totally remove it.

Facebook gives you the freedom to download your archive from it, go through it, determine which you want to leave online or make a decision whether to delete your account or leave it.

For instance, your account Activity Log contains the history of your activity on Facebook, from posts you have commented on or liked, to apps you have used, to anything you have searched for. This is basically what’s you’ve done while on the platform.

It might take a few minutes, but Facebook will alert you when your archive is ready. It didn’t long when I click on it here. It took just 6seconds to load next action.

Step 4: When it is, click on the screen directive “Start my Archive” again.
Before now, a zip file will download to your computer, which allows you to browse through that archive by opening each file inside the folder, where you’ll find the entire history of your life on Facebook.

However, Facebook keeps evolving, your e-mail is used as a point of contact.facebook data

Here is what I got from the Facebook team some minutes after I requested for my data:

“You recently requested a copy of your Facebook data. It’s now ready for you to download.

“Because this download may contain private information, you should keep it secure and take precautions when storing or sending it, or uploading it to another service.

“Click the link below to go directly to your download. If the link redirects you to your account settings page, simply click “Download a copy of your Facebook data” to get redirected to the file we’ve prepared.

“Please note: For security reasons, you can only download the copy we’ve prepared for you within a few days of this email being sent. You’ll need to start the process again if you’re unable to access your download.”

Are you amazed about the level of your Facebook data stored? The decision belongs to you on how to caution yourself on FB.
