  • Languages: English
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Credentials: First Aid Certificate; CPR Certificate; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate; Acute care nursing Certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
  • Salary: CAD$33 per hour

Licensed Practical Nurse Specific Skills:

1. Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy;

2. Take vital signs, apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing, ensure infection control, monitor nutritional intake, and conduct specimen collection;

3. Monitor patients’ progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team

Work Setting

You will be working in the hospital or home for the aged, medical facility or clinic, health care institution, facility or clinic

Security and Safety:

To ensure your safety and that of your patients, a check would be carried out on your immunization records, there would be a tuberculosis test, and a check on your criminal record.

You will be required to make provision on your own transportation. You should be able to work under pressure and pay attention to detail among others
