As interesting the show is, it also shows how challenging it could be to live with complete strangers for more than 70 days in a confined compound.
With intrigues and conflict of personality among the BBnaija 26 housemates, the 10 weeks of camping is expected to come to a fruitful end on Sunday, October 3, 2021
Timeline of How Housemates Were Evicted
Since the house opened on July 24 till September 26, 22 housemates had been evicted, leaving 6 housemates behind, although there was a twist to how Pere and Angel were reintroduced to make the top 6.
August 8 Eviction
While all housemates enjoyed eviction immunity in the first week of the show, some of them weren’t lucky the second week as Yerins became the first victim in the 2021 season, followed by a tall and lanky Niyi, and Beatrice.
They left behind 19 others, but the organisers of the show added a twist by bringing in four fresh members – Micheal, Kayvee, JMK, and Queen – on the same day.
August 15 Eviction:
As usual, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of the show “announced” the result of the nominations, Arin and Princess were not lucky as they were shown the way out, becoming the fourth and fifth evictions respectively.
On August 16, 2021, one of the four “twist” housemates Gbolahan Ololade aka Kayvee was withdrawn from the house on the psychological grounds, to become the first-ever housemate to be “evicted” due to personal challenges.
August 29:
While followers of the show were anxious to see another set of housemates out of the housemate, Ebuka made an elated announcement on August 22 that no one would be evicted.
But it was like postponing the evil day as August 29 witnessed another three housemates shown the way out.
They’re JMK, Sammie, and Maria, becoming 6th, 7th, and 8th evictions respectively.
Maria, a supposed favourite and a realtor in the United Arab Emirate who came home to have some fun in her fatherland joined the eviction train.
September 5
The following week was the most brutal eviction Ebuka announced the eviction of four housemates: Tega, Michael, Peace, and Boma, a Hollywood actor. They’re the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th evictions respectively.
September 12
Jaypaul, and Jackie B were the evictions on September 12. The eviction saw Saskay looking morose as his best friend Jaypaul was evicted. She jokingly said she felt like a widow, to describe how lonely it would be without him back in the house.
September 19:
As the show entered its quarter-finals, the BBnaija followers saw Saskay being evicted along side Yousef.
Some followers said Saskay’s comment during the previous eviction affected her votes.
Last Eviction (September 26)
Two “lovebirds”Nini and Saga followed themselves in quick succession in the eviction night. Queen also joined.
But the last eviction for the 2021 season was dramatic as Ebuka announced the eviction of Pere and Angel, which he later revealed that they’re fake eviction.
Both housemates were confined in a white room within the location of the show, where they were mandated to pass through another tedious task.
Highlights
