On Saturday, one of Nigerian wealthiest investors Tony Elumelu caused stirs on Twitter, formerly X, after posting some of his moves during a physical exercise in his multi-million Naira gym area.

The 61-year-old philanthropist is seen with his head on the floor, bending his lower body and legs to touch the ground. He posted, “Yoga to start my day.”

Known for his dedication to physical fitness and supporting upcoming businesses and innovations across Africa, the founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation has often been described as a 61-year-old who appears to be 40 or younger on several occasions.

Nigerians, who have reacted to the billionaire’s yoga session are calling on him to “Take it easy sir.. Mek don no add another maintenance join for my debit alert,” @Nwafresh jokingly Tweeted.

Another X user @Engr_Ashile said, “Easy oh I have 7300 in my account”.

Another user who praised the UBA owner, AYO FBI tweeted, “Being able to do this at 61 is a huge flex tbh.”

An X user and an influencer @Morris_Monye, who hailed the Chairman of Heirs Holdings tweeted, “If I can do this at even 50yrs then I have hacked life.”

While accolades are pouring in for the banker, @Iorlaha_Dave added another twist, saying only the rich can take such a risk.

“Na person wey gets money dey take all these risks… if you break your neck now, na one of the finest hospitals in the world you go fly go… but imagine I break my neck in the course of doing this yoga… I go drink agbo taya”

Although the famous entrepreneur didn’t make the Forbes 2024 richest Nigerians list, he is still known in Nigeria and Africa as one of the most successful and richest entrepreneurs on the continent and the continent.

He is chairman of several companies, including United Bank for Africa, Heirs Holdings, and Transcorp, Elumelu was named on Time’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.
