Gregory University (GU) is a private university that is located in Uturu, Abia State. The Nigerian citadel of learning was named after Pope Gregory I, and it added to the number of higher institutions sitting in Abia State.
Like various other private universities in the country, getting admission into an institution like Gregory University is not as tough as what the case is when compared with federal and state higher institutions.
Nevertheless, Gregory University is a school that encourages hard works and pushes students to strive for academic excellence in their various fields of study.
One of the advantages attached to institutions like Gregory University is that there is an environment that encourages good lecturer-student relationship, one where the lecturers could easily and conveniently commit themselves to do all it takes to see to the growth and development of the students.

It is not enough to do exceptionally well in Jamb, but you must know that there is a system meant to be adhered to before you can be embraced into the system.
It must be finally noted that as things stand now, the University has a presence in only Uturu in Abia State, and no other location in other parts of the country.
