According to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), consumers of electricity are classified into five (A,B,C,D, and E) and all distribution companies (discos) have activated platforms for their consumers to check their feeder information.

- B: minimum of 16 hours
- C: minimum of 12 hours
- D: minimum of 8 hours
- E: minimum of 4 hours (the applicable tariff is available in this article)
If you don’t know how to check which of the above categories you belong to, here is a step-by-step guide on how to check your service band on Ikeja Electric, IBEDC, EKEDP, and other discos to help you know if you’re getting the minimum hours of power supply per day.
1) Ikeja Electric
- Visit ikejaelectric.com
- Click on customer service
- Click on Customer feeder information
- Click on customer feeder verification
- Enter your meter number
- Details of your feeder will be displayed
Alternatively, you can open the feeder portal at: ikejaelectric.com/customer-feeder-verification, enter your meter number, and then click the search bar.
2) EKEDC
If you are under Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), kindly follow these steps :
- Visit feederinfo.ekedp.com
- Select either the account number or meter number
- If you selected “Account number” as your option, enter the account number without the ‘/’
- Then Click Proceed to see your tariff information

3) AEDC
If you are under Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), there is a platform to check your service band details:
- Open the URL at: infocheck.abujaelectricity.com/
- Choose between the meter number and account number
- Input your information
- Click on the submit button to get details of the service band
4) IBEDC
If you’re electricity consumer in Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Kwara, and parts of Kogi, Nigeri, and Ekiti, here is how to check the hours of power supply you should enjoy per day from Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC)
- Visit ibedc.com/feeder-info
- Enter your account number or meter number
- Click on “Get Info”
- It will display your account information details including your name, address, your service band, and your feeder name.
If you see D8H it means service Band D, 8 hours
A20H means band A 20 hours etc
5) EEDC
Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) is yet to comply with the order of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) as the link (enugudisco.com/index.php/feeder-compliance) made available by the company wasn’t working at the time of updating this guide.
Their customer have complained, but to no avail.
6) JED
On Jos Electricity Distribution, you can get your feeder information on customer history by:
- Head to jedplc.com/customer-history.php
- Input your meter number to generate your information
- Check your service band on the category
7) Kaduna Electric
Kaduna Electric doesn’t have a means of checking the service band at this time unless you reach out to customer support.
8) KEDCO
Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) doesn’t have a functioning website as of Tuesday, April 9, 2024, but the company have a domain at kedco.ng. However, they are active on social media such as Twitter and Facebook
Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company (PHED)
9) BEDC Electricity Plc
Benin Distribution Company doesn’t have a special link where you can check your service band. To get your feeder information, you’ll have to :
- Chat with customer support at beninelectric.com
- Enter your name and email
- Wait till you have a support agent join
- Provide your meter number to get details of your area
You may however want to check areas and locations that are Band A on Benin Electricity at: nerc.gov.ng/media/bedc-band-a-customers/
10) YEDC
There is no way to check service band on Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) except for Band A at yedc.com.ng/pages/post-content?id=21
11) PHED
If you’re on Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company Plc (PHED), your feeder information doing this quick search:
- Enter your meter number on connect.phed.com.ng/feederinformation/Details
- Click on the search button to get your information
How to Check Your Tariff on a third-party platform
If you use a third-party power token platform such as BuyPower, you can get details of your tariff band, here is how to:
- Log in to buypower.ng
- Click on “transaction history”
- Under transaction, click on ‘order details’
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and to view your tariff band under the‘ meter category’
I have been bypass so many times . I need my aedcabuja meter box . And i have been post for long now ? Am not owing anything , i have paid all of my bills but where is my meter box ? My want my scan battery on my card i don’t know who’s always removing it , and why it should be .
