BOVAS, one of Nigeria’s indigenous oil companies, has begun training technicians on how to convert diesel and petrol-powered vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
The programme which is tagged, Autogas Conversion Technicians, has started in Ibadan, Oyo State, the award-winning energy company said on its X handle with photos of technicians who have enrolled for the training.
The company says the training is designed for Nigerians who are seeking opportunities in the clean energy sector.
The training, according to the company, is a pure and complete practical training that will take the trainees through the process of converting vehicles to CNG.
How to apply for the CNG conversion training
To participate in the training, you will have to fill a form containing the following details about you:
- Your name
- Active email address
- Phone number
- Your company or association name
- Your location
- Your company or association address
- Your profession
- Years of experience
- You also have to indicate if you have knowledge of CNG
- And your desired training outcome

Is the training free?
The training fee is N50,000 for each participant. However, the company says there will be a discount for a group of at least five people and associations.

At the time of publication, the training is at its Ibadan centre. There are indications that the oil company is planning to take similar training in various towns across Nigeria.
