Samsung Galaxy Note8: How much will it cost in Nigeria?

The much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is here, and considering its functionalities, it might just be Samsung’s biggest, best and most expensive smartphone ever.

If it’s considered the most expensive Samsung’s smartphone by U.S, Canadian consumers, then Nigerian tech enthusiasts should be ready for a big price tag to go with that giant screen.

The Note 8 only comes in a 64GB version in the US, in either black or gray colors. Samsung is also offering either a Samsung Gear 360 camera or a charging bundle of a 128GB microSD card and wireless charging pad for customers who preorder.

Price of Samsung Galaxy Note8 in Nigeria
If T-Mobile, which is the cheapest place to get Note 8 in the United States right now sells for $930, then going by today’s (August 27, 2017) official Dollar to Naira exchange rate, Note 8 will cost between N330, 000 to N350, 000.

You might even pay more, depending on the sales outlets across the country.

Note 8 availability in Nigeria:Samsung Galaxy Note8
Not available at the moment, but we’re sure before the end of the year it should hit Nigerian market. Nigeria is one of the top Samsung consumers in Africa.

Note 8 available colours:

Midnight Black
Deepsea Blue
Orchid Gray
Maple Gold

Let’s just take a quick look at various prices some of Samsung carriers are ready to sell it in the United States, and its environs (The Verge highlights price of Note8 in the U.S thus:):

• T-Mobile is the cheapest place to pick up a Note 8, where the phone runs for $930. Alternatively, the carrier is offering the new device for a $210 down payment and $30 monthly installments with T-Mobile’s Equipment Installment Plan, or for $0 down and $39 a month for Jump on Demand customers.

• Verizon has the Note 8 for $960, or for $40 a month for 24 months.

• At AT&T, the Note 8 runs for $950, or $31.67 for 30 months on an AT&T Next installment plan.

• Sprint is also selling the Note 8 for $960 at full retail, but is offering a few (somewhat convoluted) deals of its own. If you’re switching to Sprint, you can get a Note 8 with activation of a new line for $20.00 per month through Sprint Flex, as well as the option for upgrading every year with its “Galaxy Forever” offer.

• If you’d like to skip the carrier craziness, you’ll also be able to get an unlocked Note 8 starting at $929.
