NAFDAC Alerts: Amezcua Bio Disc 3, Amezcua Chi Pendant 4 Are Not Registered Products in Nigeria, Pose Health Risk

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is investigating four retailing companies over the unapproved circulation of two health and wellness products—Amezcua Bio Disc 3 and Amezcua Chi Pendant 4—in the Nigerian markets.

The health agency says Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, EFCC, has also raised similar concerns over the retailing companies: Quest International Company, Mighty Infinity Millionaires Limited, Infinity Ideation Ltd., and Abdul Infinity Millenial Ltd.

Although there are several positive reviews about the products, they need approval and licence from NAFDAC before they can be imported into Nigeria.

Health risk

NAFDAC stated that the illegal marketing of health products not registered by it poses a significant risk to public health and declared that “the safety, quality, and efficacy” of the products cannot be guaranteed.

The agency promised that the notice would be uploaded to the WHO Global Surveillance and Monitoring System (GSMS).

Quest International Company has no exact name match on the CAC portal; however, there are names with “Quest” in various forms on the registration portal.
