White House to Host First-ever Crypto Summit on March 7

Cryptocurrency professionals and blockchain stakeholders will converge at the White House on March 7, 2025, to discuss responsible growth and the use of digital assets.

This marks the first-ever crypto summit hosted at the invitation of the White House, bringing together members of the President’s Working Group on Digital Assets, prominent figures in the crypto sector, and CEOs of exchanges and other digital asset firms.

The summit underscores President Donald Trump’s enthusiasm for digital assets, following his remarks at Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville during his election campaign.

According to a statement from the Office of Communications released on Friday, “The summit will be chaired by the White House A.I. & Crypto Czar, David Sacks, and administered by the Working Group’s Executive Director, Bo Hines.”

The president had earlier promised that his second term would prioritize blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and other emerging technologies as part of his policies to advance the U.S. economy, even tweeting a few hours later that the U.S. will add SOL, ADA, and BTC to U.S. reserve, which caused spike in the price of digital assets on on March 2, 2025.

During a business trip to Abu Dhabi, his son, Eric Trump, hinted that his father would be the “most pro-crypto president in the history of America” during his keynote address at Bitcoin MENA 2024.

President Trump sent a strong signal to the world that the U.S. is open to crypto enthusiasts when he launched his memecoin, $TRUMP, three days before his nonconsecutive second-term inauguration on January 20. His wife, Melania, followed suit on January 19.

The upcoming crypto summit at the White House is expected to solidify the Trump administration’s intention to position the U.S. as a global leader in digital assets while also working toward a clear regulatory framework that balances investor protection with economic liberty.
