3 Key Requirements for Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme As GEEP 2.0 Begins

To many Nigerians, the Government Enterprise & Empowerment Programme (GEEP) was active before the 2019 general elections, not knowing that a lot of credit facilities are still going on across the country. You just have to connect with the right information.

Another batch of the programme, according to the information we received from the National Orientation Agency (NOA), has commenced in Abia State.

The GEEP 2.0 which focuses on making provision for the collateral-free loan for Micro Small Medium and Enterprises (MSMEs) covers three loan products:

  • TraderMoni (50,000.00)
  • MarketMoni (50,000.00)
  • FarmerMoni (300,000.00 worth of inputs)

For TraderMoni, only those who made repayment would enjoy the new credit facility for Small Businesses.

Requirements:

We gathered that interested applicants should approach the 17 Local Government Offices of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Abia State, where GEEP Desk Officers are ready to attend to you with the following requirements:

The three major requirements:

  • Bank Verification Number or your National Identity Numbers
  • Provide details of your business activity
  • Provide Guarantor

Other minor requirements include:

  • Name
  • Gender
  • Marital Status
  • Ward
  • Type of Loan

Final thought

We urged cooperative societies, associations of farmers, and traders to mobilise their members to benefit from the credit facility.

The best part: registration is FREE
