There are cases whereby you want to add more websites to your Adsense account if such websites comply with Google’s policies. In this post, we’ll discuss the process of adding a new site on your Adsense account
Sites that you own that are not currently serving ads using your publisher ID need to be manually added to your site list. Added sites get a status of “verified”, so you don’t need to confirm your ownership of them.
What is Adsense?
AdSense is a source of revenue platform established by Google for site owners, bloggers for them to display targeted ads next to their online content. Simply put, it’s adsense is an extra way you can earn from your online content.
How AdSense works?
AdSense works by matching text and display ads to your site based on your content and visitors. The ads are created and paid for by advertisers who want to promote their products. Since these advertisers pay different prices for different ads the amount you earn will vary.
Adsense works in three simple steps:
Make your ad spaces available
You make your website ad spaces available by pasting ad code on your site, and choose where you want the ads to appear.
The highest paying ads appear on your site
Advertisers bid to show in your ad spaces in a real-time auction. The highest paying ad will show on your site.
You get paid
Google handle the process of billing all advertisers and networks for the ads on your site, to make sure you receive your payments.
In a situation where there are no violations of the rules guiding Adsense and after meeting all the requirements, follow the steps below to add new website or blog to your approved Google Adsense account.
How to add new site on Adsense Account
STEP 1: Sign in to your AdSense account
STEP 2: In the left navigation panel, click Settings.
STEP 3: Click My sites. That’s by left hand side of the menu bar. Allow the page to load.
STEP 4: Click Add. The add button is located by top right hand side of your device. You identify it by blue + button, Click on it to propel a pop up
STEP 5: Enter the URL of the site that you’d like to add (e.g., mysite.com).
Formatting the URLs of your sites
It’s important to use the correct URL when you add new sites, otherwise your site-related actions might not work as you expect them to.
For example, let’s say you want to block political ads from appearing anywhere on your example.com domain.
To ensure that your blocking rule is applied to your entire domain, you need to add example.com to your site list.
If you add www.example.com as your site, then your blocking rule won’t be applied to your entire domain and subdomains, such assports.example.com, will still show political ads.
STEP 6: Click Add site. Your site is added to your site list with a status of “verified”.
That’s all.
Please make sure you read Adsense policies so that you don’t get your Adsense account banned.
