How To Find Jobs on Facebook (Free Job Posting No Longer Available)

UPDATE: Facebook shut down free job posting

Facebook has shut down the free job posting tool on its platform. The Meta announced the decision to remove the tool on February 28, 2023. No reason was given by the organization, but analysts say it’s due to Meta’s new objective of generating more revenue.

Finding jobs on Facebook was made easier when the social media platform launched its job-searching tool in 2017. Sadly, only a few people are aware that they can snag a job on the social media platform.

Hey, if posting photos of you and your friends chilling is what you use Facebook for and you’ve been submitting manual applications in your area, then you’re not tapping into the full job potential on Facebook.

Finding jobs on Facebook is easy, but there are pros and cons regarding privacy settings.

What employers do on Facebook

Organisations and firms don’t only share updates about their company, they now recruit using Facebook job search tool, this is an aspect you need to tap into.

  • Remove objectionable materials from your timeline or photos that are erotic.
  • Make sure to complete your profile: education, experiences where needed should be completed.
  • Whenever you add a status update, you can actually select who you want to see your update. “It works like an email distribution list. Facebook sets up several lists for you already or you may decide to set up a list for your job search friends,” says Hannah Morgan, a Job-Hunt’s Social Media Job Search Expert in her article, 9 Tips to Leverage Facebook for a Successful Job Search
