Do you have important WhatsApp messages you want to forward to a friend via email? Here is the guide on how to send WhatsApp chats on Android Tablet, Window Phones (Lumia), and iPhone.
Apart from directly forwarding a chat to your contact right on the messaging app, you can also do the same to an email address.
Be careful on what you say on group chat, or the kind of message you share on social media and text messaging app because it could be documented, and used against you.
- WhatsApp chats are sent a plain text attachment named as “WhatsApp Chat: contact/group.txt” file.
- You need internet connection to perform the task below.
How to email WhatsApp chat on Android Tablet
Step 2: Click the name of the individual contact or group contact from which you want to export to an email address.
Step 4: Tap on “E-mail Chat” and allow it to load, the load time depends on the chat size.
Step 5: Enter the email address of the recipient and hit send.
The above task is also possible for iPhone users. Even though it’s possible for you to backup your chat history on iPhone for future use, you can as well send chat history to a friend as an email message as put together by blog.fonepaw.com
Step 1: Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone.
Step 2: Open the conversation window by tapping on a name of individual contact or group contacts.
Step 3: On the top of the conversation window, you will see the name of the contact (individual or group), tap on it to show contact Info or Group Info in an interface that appears.
Step 4: Tap on Email Chat and a menu will swipe up from the bottom with two options: Attach Media and Without Media.
Select either option and you will be led to an interface where you can send your WhatsApp conversation to any emails. All you need to do is enter the email address, and the subject is set by default as WhatsApp + contact name/Group name.
Step 6: Click Send on the top right corner then WhatsApp history with all conversation with certain contact or group will be sent to the target email.
