Remita is an electronic payment method through which individuals and organizations can make payments and easily receive payments across all banks in Nigeria from any part of the World.
Remita is adopted by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as a preferred payment gateway for the facilitation of the Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account (TSA)
To make payment for the federal government or state treasury single account you’d need Remita Retrieval Reference.
Here is the step-by-step guide on how to make TSA payment on remita platform:
Step 1: Head straight to www.remita.net
Step 2: On the home page click “Pay Remita Biller”
Step 3: On the next space, “Who do you want to Pay”, input NUPRC permits
Step 4: Under “service name”, choose the right permit or payment
Step 5: Fill in other spaces including the GIFMIS code applicable to the department or agency you want to make payment to.
Step 6: And click the “submit button” for processing.
Tips on making payment into the right FG’s MDA Account
If you’re making payment into any of the agencies of the Federal Government, be sure under which Federal Ministry the agency belongs. Don’t make payment into a wrong account. You need to get the gifmis code right.
It is advised to contact the MDA you want to make payment to if you don’t know the right GIFMIS code for the MDA.
