48 Asian Countries and Their Currency Symbols

Comprising 48 sovereign countries and three other territories, Asia is not just only the largest continent, it is also the most populous continent with 4,707,138,536 people, according to the United Nationa estimates

There are debates over the number of countries that make up Asia. For instance, Russia is not classified as an Asian country by the United Nations official statistics at the time of publication.

Asia Location

The largest continent is located primarily in the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres. It shares the continental landmass of Eurasia with Europe and the continental landmass of Afro-Eurasia with Africa and Europe.
