Agidigbo Radio goes up in flames in Ibadan

A newly established radio station in Ibadan Agidigbo Radio has been gutted by fire on Saturday, April 11, 2020, where property worth several million were destroyed.
The station is located at Monatan.
Agidigbo FM is an online radio owned by a popular broadcaster in the city, Dr. Oriyomi Hamzat.
Cause:
The cause of the fire outbreak was unknown at the time of this report, an eye witness said the station was under locks and keys at the time of the incident.
Firefighters arrived at the scene a few minutes after 11AM said “None of the workers of the radio station was around at the time of the outbreak.”
The Director of Oyo State Fire Service, Moshood Adewuyi, “The people around there alerted us around 11am”
He confirmed that one man was electrocuted, “But, thank God, it was not much. What happened was that as soon as our men arrived at the scene, we directed our control room to instruct the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company to cut power supply to the area,” saying there was no casualty.
