What Nigeria’s Law Says About Unclaimed Dividends

How to claim your dividends at Guinness Nig

If you’re one of the shareholders or you have evidence that a dead relative has unclaimed dividends with the Nigerian Guinness, follow these steps to claim it:

Send your application to the Guinness Registrar in Nigeria: Zenith Registrars Limited NOW Veritas Registrars Limited is the Guinness Nig registrar.

Include your application in the following documents:

Original dividend warrants or photocopies of share certificate, which could be scanned and sent via email to Veritas Registrars.

An e-mandate form will be sent to you, fill it out, including your banking details for payment, and send it back.

NOTE: All branches of Zenith Bank take care of questions related to Veritas Registrar.

Claiming dividends of a deceased family members

Individuals who plan to claim the dividend of a deceased family member should contact a legal practitioner for guidance.

Claiming the dividends of a deceased family member requires a lot of legal papers.

But if you are the next of kin of the deceased, you need the deceased death certificate and a proof that you’re the next of kin.
