When was NALDA established?
NALDA isn’t a new creation, it was established by the military regime of former Head of State Gen Ibrahim Babadamosi Babangida in 1992 at the Presidency. But during the administration of Chief of Olusegun Obasanjo in 2000, it ceased to function.
As part of the ideal of President Muhammadu Buhari, it was resuscitated on June 1, 2020, since Buhari believes that Nigerians must produce what they eat.
In a bid to achieve food security in the country and boost agribusiness, the agency has been re-established and re-invigorated for better service delivery.
So, what are you waiting for? You can seize this opportunity to start your own chicken farming business with the grants you’re going to get from the government in the incoming days.
Note that NALDA is one of the agencies under the Ministry of Agriculture, as such it has three programmes under it.
