Can a man bathe his daughter? Your View TV host Morayo Brown says NO!

There is heated debate about whether a man can bathe his daughter or not. This is as a result of a high increase of sexual abuse of a female child by third own father.

Last year several cases of fathers abusing their own biological daughter sprang up, while 2018 seems to witness more of such cases.

Some fathers do indeed sexually abuse their daughter, yes it is real!

But should that be a justification for a wife to prevent her husband from bathing their daughter?

Your View TVC host Morayo Afolabi-Brown said she doesn’t allow her husband to bathe their daughter due to the increasing rate at which fathers now sexually abuse their children.

Even though she clarified saying she trusted her husband, that would not stop some of her followers from scolding her for publicly saying what should be between her and husband.

“I trust my husband, but I’m not also not taking chances,” she said.

That hasn’t gone down well with some of her followers, saying she indirectly disrespected her husband by tagging him a paedophile (someone who is sexually attracted to kids).

Some told her that if she wouldn’t let her husband bathe their daughter, then she shouldn’t be allowed to bathe their son.

The point Morayo Afolabi-Brown was trying to make was coming up with measures to reduce incidence of sexually molestation of female child by their own father.

I will normally not do this but I feel I should respond. It’s painful that people think I would in anyway suggest that my husband is a “potential abuser”. Sad. The truth is that the show allows us to state varied views which should be respected and understood. So understand this, there are women who have used their life to vouch that their husbands would never abuse their daughters yet we see it happen. Let’s make it easy for those women to speak up. Let’s make it easy for girls to speak up about their abusers, even if it’s their father! @tvcconnect @kemiolunloyo @tmospeaks @opes_world @lindaikejiblog @mariamlonge @beeceeugboh @yenikuti @mobolajiolawuyi @omokheowa @tmospeaks @akashatnymat @yourviewtvc @oluwaloninyo @dammyolaiya

Mrs. Afolabi-Brown took to Instagram in a short video saying:

My husband is not a pedophile, he’s a highly responsible, decent man. He can never do anything to hurt any of his children.

Psychology has told us to teach children to respect their personal spaces and ensure that family members don’t come too close.

We need to define what is too close as a child.

So, I’m glad the conversation has started, I’m glad we’re talking about it. Let us understand that these are real life issues that are happening.

Let’s hear Your View.
