She is no doubt one of Nigeria’s best female vocalists and goes by the name Chidinma Ekile and her stage name is Chidinma.
This music diva was born on 2 May 1991.She came to the limelight after emerging the winner of the third season of Project Fame West Africa sponsored by Telecoms giant MTN.
However, her first solo rendition, titled ’Direction’ at the Project Fame West Africa was a tip of the iceberg of greater songs to come and she continued to blaze the trail thereafter.

The ‘Kedike’ musician became a household name in the music scene after her successful outing in the aforementioned competition. She began to release back to back hit songs with top music artistes.
After the release of one of her banging single “Emi Ni Baller” she became the first female musician to peak at number 1 on the MTV Base Official Naija Top 10 chart.
Hence, in 2011, she collaborated with ace musician Sound Sultan to release “Jankoliko” .

Thereafter, her album Chidinma was released through the music platform Spinlet, and was supported by four singles: “Jankoliko”, “Carry You Go”, “Kedike” and “Run Dia Mouth”. The album featured some notable musician like Sound Sultan, Tha Suspect, Olamide and Muna.

She continued to wax stronger in her performances and on November 2013, she performed at the Guinness World of More Concert alongside the defunct music group P-Square, D’banj, Wizkid, Ice Prince, Burna Boy, Olamide, Phyno, Waje, Davido and Tiwa Savage.
A couple of days after precisely on 9 November 2013, the ‘Emi ni Baller’ singer performed with Blackstreet at the Butterscotch Evening Experience, a concert held at the Eko Hotels and Suites.
Chidinma kept working and kept soaring and on 14 February 2014, she performed at the MTN Valentine Rave Party, alongside Tiwa Savage, Mario and Sound Sultan.
Her success story is worthy of note as she has performed in several countries in Africa, including The Republic of Benin, Sierra Leone, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Cameroun, Equatorial Guinea, Niger and Ghana to mention but a few.
Her biggest musical influences are renowned music icons like the legendary Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Alicia Keys, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Fela Kuti, Omawumi, Onyeka Onwenu, Lagbaja and Darey Art Alade.
