The N-Power Batch C recruitment will commence on Friday, June 26, 2020, information obtained by InfomediaNG from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has said.

Sadiya Announces NPower Batch C Closing Date, Portal Receives 5million Applications
Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development has announced August 8, 2020 as the official closing date for the batch registration.
She stated this on her verified Twitter page while reacting to the latest protest by some beneficiaries of batch A and B in Abuja last week.
“In a bid to extend the opportunity to all Nigerians and ensure it is truly inclusive. The portal will close at midnight on August 8th, 2020.”
Recall that The N-Power Batch C application opened for interested fresh batch of Nigerians on Friday, June 26, 2020.
The minister who had been criticised by some beneficiaries in prompt payment of stipend tweeted, “I received news of a protest at the National Assembly by N-Power Batch A and B beneficiaries who presented a list of demands which we are reviewing and will address as practically possible.
“Let me reiterate that the exiting of Batch A and B is not punitive but as a means of providing an opportunity for their brothers and sisters to also access the programme. Batch A and B beneficiaries remain our pride and worthy ambassadors.”
5million Nigerians Applied for N-Power Job within 30 Days
NPower which is one of the programmes of the APC-led government of President Muhammadu Buhari started in 2016 to temporarily engage unemployed youths for a period of two-year.
Another batch was recruited in 2017, 300, 000 people were onboarded, they were disengaged to allow another batch, according to the minister.
Since Batch C opened, over five million applications had been received. Only 400, 000 will be employed.
She said, “One month after the portal opened for Batch C applications we are happy to announce that we have received over 5m applications underlining enthusiasm for the programme.”

Application Tips
1) Once the portal re-opens for applications, Log on to www.npower.fmhds.gov.ng, read the terms and conditions of the N-Power Programme and accept that all the information provided is truthful and accurate and click on accept below to proceed.
2) Input your valid contact information (Email and Phone Number)
3) Once your email address has been confirmed, fill in your 11-digit BVN and date of birth in the following order (dd/mm/yy). If your BVN details are inaccurate, you will not be permitted to go past this interface.
4) Education and Programme Page: Kindly indicate if you have received education or not. The N-Power programme is open to all.
N-Power Batch C Method of Application
Applications will be conducted using a hybrid system of enrolment to ensure that all Nigerians are given an opportunity to participate.
There will also be a special consideration for Persons living with disabilities.
“The online portal would be open to receive applications from noon on June 26, 2020 and will provide a level playing field for all applicants.
“As part of the Ministry’s reforms to make the programme more efficient, all applicants must supply their Bank Verification Number (BVN) in their application to ensure a streamlined and transparent selection process.”
The ministry further explained that once applications are submitted, it will review submissions and publish a list of successful applicants.

Is npower website hacked?
NPower website has never been hacked, it is not hacked, we urge you to disregard the apprehension caused by fake news creator by some people that N-Power application portal has been hacked.
The fake news started as a result of broadcast message which claimed that some applicants have lost their money because they applied with their Bank Verification Number on Npower website.
The message which was purportedly written by one Dr. Okafo Okoreaffia read, “Attention: Please if you know anyone who registered for Npower recently, inform them to move their money to their relatives account, npower site has been hacked and their BVN are exposed. Treat as Urgent.”

Both npower.fmhds.gov.ng and NOT https://www.npower.gov.ng belong to the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development and they are not FAKE.

How many people have applied for N-Power batch C so far?
The application portal for Npower batch C opened on Friday, 11:45pm on June 26th, 2020, since then portal has been registering about 100 applications per second and as at 7:38 pm Sunday, June 28, 2020, N-Power had received 1,001,045 applications, according to the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajia Saiday Umar Farouq.
In a post, Sadiya said, “At 11.45pm.on June 26th, the enrolment of Npower Batch C commenced via the online portal. I am happy to announce that young and eligible Nigerians responded positively and have been applying as expected.
“The portal has been registering about 100 applications per second and as at 7:38 pm, we had received 1,001,045 applications.
“Batch C affords us an opportunity to enrol a new set of beneficiaries who will be upskilled to prepare them for employability or entrepreneurship. It also offers us a pipeline of skilled workers who will be critical to jump-starting the economy post-Covid-19
“Out of the 500,000 beneficiaries enrolled in Batch A & B, about 109,823 have proceeded to establish businesses in their communities underlining the impact and imperative of @npower_ng programme.“I want to thank the outgoing beneficiaries of Batch A & B for their service. They have been worthy ambassadors of #NSIP and I look forward to many of them impacting the economy in positive ways.

Exit of N-Power Batch A and Batch B
While the recruitment portal is being prepared for fresh applications, the first batch of beneficiaries will be exited June 30, 2020; batch B will be exited July 31, 2020, bringing the number of beneficiaries to be exited from N-Power to 500,000, according to a statement signed by the ministry’s Deputy Director (Information) Rhoda Ishaku Iliya on Friday in Abuja.
The statement said, “We have commenced the transitioning of beneficiaries from Batches A and B into government entrepreneurship schemes and engaging private sector bodies to absorb some of the beneficiaries after the completion of psychometric assessment to determine competency and placement into various opportunities.
“The Federal government is committed to the continuation and expansion and as such will now begin enrolment and onboarding of a new Batch of beneficiaries.
“Skills acquisition for entrepreneurship and job creation are critical for an economy that will require a boost post-COVID-19 and we are gearing up proactively for the challenge.”
