Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel) Bishop David Oyedepo threw a bombshell today when he said he’s dangerously rich to receive bribes from any Nigerian government officials. He’s worth over 54 Billion Naira at this time.

Nigerians are talking about it on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms, but we take a look at what it really means to be dangerously rich in a country where some families in Nigeria find it difficult to feed their family two times a day.

“I don’t share any booty from any government. I have a clear conscience; I am dangerously wealthy. I am rich, whatever I want, comes.” the Bishop, who was ordained on September 17, 1983 by Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, said in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Meaning of dangerous

According to Cambridge Dictionary: “A dangerous person, animal, thing, or activity could harm you.”

Dangerous in negative context

To be dangerous means to be harmful. Any harmful thing is capable to imparting other things around it.

When a man is dangerous, it means he could kill, harm people around him, and do anything that could cut short the life of people around him.

Bishop Oyedepo was also clearing the air on his alleged closeness to the former ruling party, Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

5) Wealth belongs to God, and He gives it to whoever He wishes, Bishop Oyedepo has always alleged this in his sermons, but with his position and financially strength today, Oyedepo is one of the World richest men of God.

Born September 27, 1954, Bishop Oyedepo is the proud owner of two private universities in Nigeria: Covenant University and Landmark University. An unconfirmed report says he also has another private university in Ghana.

Covenant University is one of the most expensive private universities in Nigeria, and rated the best private university in Nigeria, and one of the best institution in Nigerian and Africa.

His third university will soon be completed in the city of Calabar, Cross Rivers, Nigeria.

In 2001, he was named by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria

Oyedepo is worth US$150 million( which is 54,675,000,000.00 Naira in today’s 364.5 Naira to a dollar exchange rate.

He also the proud owner of four private jets with building worth millions of dollars in London and United States.

He is the chairman/publisher of Dominion Publishing House (DPH), a publishing arm of his ministry.
