Veteran music artiste Seyi Sodimu admonishes talented creatives to diversify their incomes
Talented and veteran music artiste Seyi Sodinmu in a recent post on his instagram page @seyi.sodimu admonished ‘ Artist, actors and creatives ,please learn to make money outside your art.diversify now’.
The ‘Love me jeje’ singer cited examples of successful music artistes well known in the world that diversified and made money from different sources other than entertainment.
Seyi Sodimu wrote ’Dr Dre  made most of his money from Sean Jean [fashion], Jay Z made most of his money from Rocca wear[fashion], 50 cent made most of his money from Vitamin water and Tv  production [power], Michael Jordon is worth over $2 billion , most of it from Jordon clothing. Thank me later, I am well on my way’.
This admonition from a music artiste who has been in the industry for over 20 years is apt and coming at a time when most people in the entertainment industry are seen living luxurious lives  with numerous  cars and houses seen on social media.
There is indeed life after a successful music career, things change and only a few creative entertainers have remained relevant for long. It is very important to diversify and have streams of income for the days when their present crafts do not bring their desired lifestyles.
