NPower Update: Why You Are Unable To Register On NEXIT Portal – Minister’s Aide

Last updated on August 6th, 2023 at 06:49 am

Have you been wondering why you are unable to register on the NEXIT portal? Nneka Nkem, the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Hon Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has an answer to your plight.

A few months ago, the ministry through its minister Sadiya Umar Farouq disclosed that they would be partnering with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on empowerment options for the exited N-Power beneficiaries (batch A and B).

A few weeks after the announcement, a portal dubbed NEXIT was launched where the 2016 and 2017 batches were directed to fill an on application form.

Unfortunately, hundreds of exited volunteers complained that they were unable to access the portal or did not receive verification email to continue with their registration.

Giving an update on Twitter on the verification email, Mrs Nkem said one of the reasons some exited volunteers were unable to complete the registration was because some of them were sacked before the end of the N-Power Programme.

“If your account was earlier flagged by @FGN_GIFMIS then, you won’t be able to log in,” she tweeted.

Her stance corroborated our earlier publications where InfomediaNG told you that those who were sacked before the end of the empowerment programme won’t be able to benefit from the proposed CBN loan for the exited beneficiaries.
