Buhari’s media aide Adesina comes harder on those endorsing Atiku, says witches and wizard can’t win election for him

Atiku Abubakar is PDP presidential candidate in 2019 presidential elections

“NEF, PANDEF, Afenifere, others endorse Atiku. Let witches and wizards also endorse, if they like. The harder they come, the harder they fall. No beating the Nigerian people” tweeted President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Femi Adesina.

According to him, no amount of endorsement can make Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) win the February 16 Presidential Election.

Adesina believes that his boss Buhari has done more than enough to make him win the hearts of Nigerians at the polls again in the forthcoming crucial election.

The former Editor of The Sun Newspapers condemned in strong term the endorsement of PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, by a slew of organisations, and therefore warned that even if witches and wizards endorse the presidential hopeful, it would only lead to defeat for him.

His reaction is coming at the time various ethnic socio-cultural groups, including the Northern Elders’ Forum, Afenifere, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the Pan Niger Delta Forum and Middle Belt Forum had, endorsed Atiku for the forthcoming presidential candidate.

He also underrated the assertion of the Coalition of United Political Parties that Atiku’s endorsement is a fatal blow to President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid.

Femi Adesina’s bomb also corroborates the earlier outburst of another presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, in a statement in Abuja which dismissed the position of the groups, saying that the PDP was only hiding under the cloud of ethnicity to avoid its inevitable defeat.

He recalled that the ongoing endorsements were reminiscent of efforts to stop Buhari in 2015 by the same characters, saying that the efforts failed and that it will also fail again.

It is also very important to note the some of the ethnic groups are also divided over the two northern presidential aspirants.
