Kiki Mordi’s mum hails daughter for exposing randy lecturers

Nigeria’s investigative journalist Kiki Mordi has been hailed by her mother after a documentary video exposing randy lecturers in Nigeria and Ghana was released on Monday, October 7, 2019

The video shook the entire university system in Nigeria and Ghana after male lecturers were caught on camera sexually assaulting their helpless female student.

One Dr Boniface of the University of Lagos has been suspended less than 24 hours the video hit the internet.

“I am so glad and proud of you,” Joy Mordi, Kiki mum said in short message sent to her daughter after the documentary broke the internet.

Millions of ladies within and outside Nigeria have also hailed the audacious move by the BBC journalist.

A media personality Chioma Agwuegbo tweeted, “This is all that matters sweetie. Not the trolls, not the rapists in training, not the inconsequential voices that want to smother your light. You’re a star and young girls everywhere in this country (and beyond) will never forget your name. Super, super, super proud.”

Another Twitter user, Gbemi Ola said, “You have no idea how many vulnerable ladies you have saved from these predators. You have given voice to those whose voices were suppressed. Watch it blow… That these monsters won’t use their position to prey on these potential victims is a win for humanity. Pls don’t stop.”

The revealing documentary is entitled, “Sex for Grades: undercover inside Nigerian and Ghanaian universities” produced by BBC Africa Eye.

Sex for Grades – university lecturers harassing female students, pressuring them for sex in return for grades or admission – is a scandal that’s gone on for decades.

She said she had received threat since the video went viral. At the time of this report it had garnered more than 400K views on YouTube.
