The abductors of a principal of Government Technical College, Kaduna State have contacted the family of the victim demanding N5, 000, 000 ransom before the educator is set free.
Mr Francis Maji was at Maraban Kajuru in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State before he was abducted at the early hours of Thursday.
InfomediaNG gathered that the kidnappers contacted the wife of the victim Amina Francis on Friday afternoon.
Before the criminals settled for N5 million, they had earlier put N20 million ransom on their victim.
After pleading and negotiation, the abductor settled for N5 million.
A few days back, six female students and two staff of Engravers College, Kakau Daji, in Chikun local government area of the State were kidnapped.
The Deputy Director, Public Relations of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, Colonel Ezindu Idimah, confirmed that troops of Operation Thunder Strike have rescued the six abducted students, he said in a statement.
Col Idimah stated that four suspected kidnappers were killed in the process while the rest of them ran into the forest with gunshot wounds.
Sometimes ago, the governor of the state Mallam Nasir El-Rufai rescued some road users from kidnappers who ran into the forest when the convoy of the governor approached the scene where kidnappers were about abducting road user along Kaduna-Abuja road.
Kaduna, the once most peaceful state to live in, has become the epicentre of kidnapping in recent time.
