Afolabi Imoukhuede Reveals How Fraudster Used His Name To Defraud N-Power Beneficiaries


Mr Afolabi Imoukhuede, the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Job Creation and Youth Employment has called on the general public to disregard anyone using his name to solicit for funds from N-Power beneficiaries across the country.

He stated this on Thursday, January 30, 2020, saying, “Please disregard information that suggests that SSA to the President on Job Creation, Afolabi Imoukhuede is soliciting funds from any individual,” N-Power said on its official social media pages.


The press release is entitled, “Disclaimer: Disassociation From The Handle “Hon Afolabi Imoukhuede” Across All Social Media Platforms. ”

“This is to call to public attention, the use of my person by an imposter across all social media channels. As a public servant, I have always positioned myself as a man of integrity, transparency and accountability.

“I do not take for granted the trust that thousands of Nigerian youths and indeed those of the older generation have in me as a government official.

“As such, it is my utmost dismay to discover that there has been an imposter on Facebook going by the username “Hon Afolabi Imoukhuede”.

“This person has, through impersonation, been extorting hard working Nigerians of their money, time, and expectations under the guise of being the SSA to the President on Job Creation and Youth Employment.

“As a Government official, I have dedicated my time energy and resources towards providing opportunities for growth in Nigeria for the Nigerian youth and the citizens in general.

“I will never, under any circumstance result to extorting the Nigerian populace for “slots” in Nigerian Ministries or any programme run by the Federal Government.

“I therefore urge the public to disregard any message. handle or individual going under the guise of my person to defraud well meaning Nigerians as any recruitment into any of these Ministries, Departments and Agencies will be duly publicised and open to the public for transparency and to provide equal opportunities to the general public,” the N-Power coordinator said.

He said, “All other accounts created under my name are deemed as fraudulent and an impersonation except otherwise communicated through my official handles and should be reported to the appropriate quarters for immediate action.

“I hereby wish to use this medium to disassociate myself from this fellow and reiterate to Nigerians my commitment and by extension the Federal Government’s commitment to Human Capital Development and job provision for Nigerian youth,” he stated.

Since the inception of the programme, some fraudsters have been using names of top government officials to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.
