Just In: Soldiers Take Over Abuja Streets Over #EndSars Protest

Reports from the Federal Capital Territory say soldiers have been deployed to majors streets of Abuja amid #EndSars protest.

Heavily armed soldiers were seen at strategic places in the FCT in their combat uniforms a few hours one of the protesters died in the hospital. He was allegedly attacked by hoodlums.

Last week the Nigerian Army announced the date for the commencement of exercise crocodile smile and assured Nigerians that the exercise had nothing to do with the protest.

This development comes amid protests by Nigerians demanding an end to police brutality and called for reform of the force and the country in a 23-demand submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari

The #EndSARS protests have persisted for more than a week across major cities in Nigeria.
